If you have been following my journey thus far on Belly Laughs, you know that I ran my first, and only, marathon last year right before I turned 30 (Only 26.2 Miles to Cake). Well, for this year's "big race" I decided I was ready to do a Half Ironman. I don't know why I thought it would be smart to jump from doing short triathlons to a big hunk of a race, but I am signed up and I am well into my training. With only six weeks left to go, April is dedicated to tasty BUT HEALTHY treats you can indulge in [moderation] if you happen to be training for anything major, or if you are just trying to get or stay healthy.
Here are the items I will be stuffing my face with as I crave salt, sugar, carbs, and anything to get my mind off that 4 hour training session I have the next day:
