Welp! Its my birthday month and that means I am about to be one year older. Good? Bad? I'm indifferent. 31 doesn't have the clout and special milestone vibe of 30 or 35, which means I am in for four years of birthday purgatory.
When I was 10 I wanted to be 16 so I could drive. When I was 16 I wanted to be 18 so I could go to college and be independent. When I was 18 I wanted to be 21 so I could go to the bars. When I was 21 I wanted to be done with school and start my working life. I had a quarter-life crisis at 25 and another at 30, but now I am going to be 31 so all of that is behind me. LOL. Psych! Now I just wish I had 3 of the past 31 years back so I could be a little younger and make a few decisions differently with the information I now have about repercussions.
Life's not perfect so I guess I will stick with the one that I have. At least I have a full head of hair, good skin, great legs, and money in the bank... oh and my health, family, friends, a roof over my head, yada, yada...
